Coaching Passion

I have a passion to coach and mentor diverse candidates and to help them grow into their full potential and purpose. This is a fundamental building block in building future leaders for our country. Their full potential contributes to building ‘Servant’ business cultures, successful businesses and impacting the future economic growth of South Africa.

Work Experience

I am an experienced Value Chain Specialist with experience in a variety of industries including manufacturing, retail and consulting. I spent 10 years with Unilever in various supply chain roles covering Factory and Category Planning, Packaging-Buying and Non Production Item Buying. I was fortunate enough to co-run a SMME business for 5 years focusing on Consulting in Supply Chain, Change Management and Customer Service. This lead me to a career in Retail with Massdiscounters where I operated in Planning Management and then got the opportunity to run HR for their Corporate Division.

Coaching Experience

My coaching experience started in 2001 during my tenure at Unilever and took shape after an inhouse Coaching and Mentoring course. Since then I have coached corporate and private individuals on an informal basis as it aligned closely with my core belief of Empowerment. In my role of leading Corporate HR for Massdiscounters I was fortunate to get the opportunity to Coach and Mentor a number of diverse high performing leaders into key business and management positions. The coaching topics covered a variety of areas that included strategic positioning of business areas, team leadership, giving and receiving feedback, role transitioning, own leadership development and understanding corporate politics. This positioned these leaders to develop, prepare and transition successfully into more senior leadership roles.
At a board and executive level, I facilitated ‘Thinking/Reflecting Partner’ sessions for my business area Directors. These proved very successful.
