Coaching Passion

I started a coaching career because, nearing formal retirement, I developed a strong desire to give back. In my business – and more specifically executive – coaching practise, I use a rigorous, process-driven method, focused, respectfully, on my clients, on what works, on their strengths not their weaknesses and using my clients’ language and narrative.

With that I aim for transformation in and for my clients, not mere transactions. I believe that there is something in every human that, when liberated, has the ability to transform themselves and their sphere of influence. I use a whole person approach and advocate being and becoming an ‘executive athlete’, for maximum flow, and joy.

Work Experience

Joined the C-suite at Discovery in 1998 and adopted a coaching leadership style early on after receiving training at Wits Business School.

For Discovery, where I spent the bulk of my career (from 1996 to my retirement in 2018), I mentored many junior executives in the adoption of innovative operating models while we were building the business, and to adapt to the internationalisation of the business.

In Afrocentric Medscheme I mentored and coached executives towards an efficient and competitive operating model in a three-year program of total transformation, digital, as well as towards a high-performance culture.
