It is a privilege for me to write a letter recommending Neale Roberts from SA Business Coaches as a business coach.
I met Neale in my previous role as HR Executive at Matus a Bidvest owned company. I needed a business coach to further develop and stretch my strategic business partnering skills and leadership style. Having been coached previously and being an advocate of business coaching I had a firm idea and expectation of what I was looking for. Neale surpassed all my expectations. Neale would go on to coach other middle and senior managers within the organisation.
What differentiated Neale from my previous business coaches was his approach and methodology.
Our first session was spent at length developing my coaching objectives with clear outcomes on what I would need to do to achieve these objectives. This was documented on an online coaching platform called Coach in the Corner that is exclusive to Neale and his team to use.
After each session, Neale would update the platform with the notes from the coaching session together with progress against our agreed outcomes and any new items from the session. This assisted in keeping me focussed and on track on what I needed to do to achieve my set objectives.
Neale would also follow up between sessions on how I am progressing with my goals. Through the platform Neale would send me articles and/or assessments to read or do based on our coaching sessions. This was unbelievably valuable in deepening my understanding of issues being dealt with and in aiding my progress in these areas.
What really stood out for me was Neale’s uncanny ability to understand business from an operational, financial and strategic vantage point and his deep understanding of human behaviour.
This allowed Neale to present options, ideas, alternatives, suggestions, tools, learnings in a way that gave me a deeper understanding of my own actions, reactions, perceptions and thinking that impacted the business and me.
